The rapper, who over the years has entertained music lovers in and beyond he region with songs such as Bossu, Adepa, Change Your Style, and others, is now battling for his life due to a cancerous disease, as The Eastern Web can confirm.
On July 26, 2025, during the press launch ceremony for the Eastern Music Awards, Racky Nova left everyone in attendance in awe when he removed his mask while expressing his thoughts on the pressing issues affecting the music industry in the Eastern Region.
His appearance and the drastic change in his physique cast a heavy sense of sorrow over the house. It was difficult to see how much he had changed, and it affected us all deeply.
The rapper openly shared his recent challenges, discussing his ongoing battle with illness that he has been facing for several months.

“I am not feeling well, but I tried to come tonight. My name is Racky Nova, and the winner of popular song of the year 2017, but tonight, I am here to tell you people that you are doing well, and I have been monitoring each on-air program,” he said.
He continued, “I am very happy to see all of you tonight. I have been in bed for eight months, as you can see, I have changed a lot. I will also urge you to try your best to rise in the region. Because if I am no more into music, I can also be a producer because I am seeing a lot that we can do to help ourselves”.
Racky Nova, in his speech, disclosed that “I have been bedridden for all these months. You might have heard of my demise, but it is by the grace of God that I have been able to meet you guys tonight”.
The Rapper then called for unity among industry players when he said, “Therefore, let’s all embrace love and unity among ourselves because I have been telling you guys that we don’t love each other. I know I have been supported by many during my active days, but let’s try our best to raise an artist who can put the region in the limelight”.
